Venturing is a program designed for youth ages 14 - 21. When involved in a crew, Venturers have the opportunity to take on leadership positions that further enhance their ability to solve problems, communicate, and become effective leaders when they go out into the real world.
The crew is designed to be youth-led, and therefore we have a number of youth leaders. We recommend you reach out to them with questions. Please remember to also add on at least one advisor for youth protection.

Hi I'm Ben C and I'm the secretary of Crew 413! I've been in this Crew for one year and have been the secretary since January 22, 2022. I have loved my time with the Crew because it has opened up many opportunities that I would have otherwise not have been able to do. I am also the Senior Patrol Leader of my Troop 34 in Bristol, IL. Other than Scouts I am on the Cross Country team at Yorkville High School. I also play baseball on the Kane County Phantoms.

Hi I’m Nick and I’m Crew 413’s President and most importantly the wearer of the cow hat. Since joining in 2019, I’ve been president for 2 years and my past positions were Vice president of Admin and Quartermaster. I’m an Eagle scout out of Troop 7 in Elburn as well as Brotherhood in the OA and I’m also working towards Summit in the Crew. My favorite thing to do in Scouts is backpacking and High Adventure. So far I’ve been to Boundary waters twice, Philmont twice, Sea Base, and the Porcupine Mountains but hope to add more! I also have taken NYLT and staffed Rainbow Scout Reservation in 2023 working in COPE. Outside of Scouting I was on the Track team at my high school throwing shotput and discus and enjoy watching the Kane County Cougars play baseball (where I also happen to work).
